Why are you referring to, and complaining about FDA guidelines if this all occurred in India?
Your "presentation" of this case is all over the place, omits many important details and includes seemingly irrelevant ones.
Regarding remdesivir administration - if the beans were already boxed, then potential neohrotoxicity becomes a non-concern, though dose and dosing interval would have had to have been adjusted.
I am an Asian-American and I nest with my family in Chicago,IL. My mother was however treated in Apollo Hospital... since we were told it’s a very reputed hospital.
FDA regulations: If anyone wants to export items such as Food, Drugs, Cosmetics, Color Additives, Medical Devices, Supplement, Even PPE Kit to the U.S.A, they must obtain US FDA Certification.
And likewise Food, Drugs, etcetera exported from USA to any country in the world needs US FDA Certification.
Gilead Sciences Donated a Minimum of 450,000 Vials of Remdesivir to the Government of India.
Gilead Sciences got an EUA for Remdesivir from the USFDA; hence the FDA guidelines is very much relevant and ought to be followed by Apollo Hospitals.
As for your other concerns, I don’t have the energy, interest or inclination to repeat, explain and defend my heart wrenching article about my mother’s harrowing death with you. I am as is very disturbed and traumatized.
Ergo, I have a suggestion--- please understand the essence of the article before passing in-constructive, unscholarly, insubstantial and frivolous comments.

The WHO recommends not to use Remdesivir on critically ill patients all over the world. The hospital has not acquired informed consent from the patient’s family to use Remdesivir, which is outright criminal.
All in all, the write up is very scientifically articulated to the point.
